Captain Thomas S. Wissmann
& Chef Kaye Noble

Capt. Thomas has sailed the seven seas and most of the oceans of the world during his 20 years in the yachting industry. He started to skipper yacht deliveries at the age of 18 and, after a short stint in the merchant navy, became a sailing instructor working in the North and Baltic Sea. He worked with several German based charter companies and off shore sailing schools for many years and got to sail as far as Iceland, Norway, Trans Atlantics and race in the Caribbean, North Sea or Sardinia mainly on Swan yachts.

A few years on superyachts in the Mediterranean, which included the management of a traditional Italian yacht builder were followed by a 3 year circumnavigation which included more than a year of diving and sailing through 15 island chains in the South Pacific. After he had sailed more than 175,000 nm Thomas settled down in New Zealand to run a delivery and yacht management company. Here he met Kaye the Chef on board. He was there to witness all the America's Cup action as Captain of a spectator vessel as well.

After 4 years in New Zealand it was time to move on and the desire to the sea led him now together with his partner to run a charter yacht in the Caribbean and than to move on to his passion and to restore and skipper the 1917 schooner 'No4 of London' in Mediterranean waters (details: click here). Now Thomas has turned his interest towards this most interesting vessel to sail another circumnavigation. Due to his good engineering background Thomas also maintains the sometimes historic machinery.
He is a watersports enthusiast and fanatic diver. Another hobby of Thomas is the desire for good food. A lot of the recipes cooked on board are his creations and he will even after a hard dat at sea help the chef to create some special treats for everybody on board.
Thomas speaks fluent English, German and Italian.
